Eastern Anatolia Tourism Development Project (TDEAP) started in March 2007 is a regional development project implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Efes Pilsen Group.
Eastern Anatolia Tourism Development Project, of which the foundation was laid by Tourism Development Component of the Linking Eastern Anatolia to Progress Programme (DAKAP 2003-2006), aims to contribute to the regional development of Eastern Anatolia Region, specifically by transforming the Çoruh Valley into an alternative tourism center. The project will design and implement its activities in order to reduce the regional disparities through supporting development of alternative income resources. By these activities the Çoruh Valley, which has a very rich cultural heritage and natural beauty is expected to become an ecotourism region for both local and foreign tourists.
