In the symposium, the priorities of Turkey on ecotourism have been discussed considering the experiences of other countries. The participants from foreign countries like Ireland, England, Belgium and Israel have given information about the good practices in the world. As for the alternative tourism works in Turkey, Fatma Gelir, TDEAP Project Associate and Suade Arancli, Deputy General Manager of TEMA have made presentations of their own experiences.
In her presentation Fatma Gelir has exposed the resource values of the Coruh Valley and the TDEAP's ecotourism works to exploit the tourism potential of the region. The symposium has been important in advertising the Coruh Valley among the representatives of the international alternative tourism publishing world.
After two-days' hard work the symposium has ended with the drafting of Alternative Tourism Declaration for Turkey.
